Mr. H. H. J. Gompertz, who is at

present acting as Puisne Judge, has, in a conversation with

the Colonial Secretary, stated that in the two weeks of

his tenure of office he has had about enough work to fully

occupy three days in the week and that he could take a

good deal more work if the Chief Justice would give it to

him.
